Kuvauen
Kuvauen with its peaceful storage rooms by the sea are the only ones of its kind preserving the old fishing harbours once found here.
You will find the large car park signposted by the main road. Kuvauen is a combination of a sandy beach and grass hills, which make it a small idyllic place to spend sunny days. You can also take a swim from the coastal rock slopes in the bay. Behind the inner side of the beach there is a plain where you can set up a tent. There are also many good walking opportunities in the mountain on the west side of the beach.
Solviken beach
Sandy beach.
Turning off at highway 116 on road 403 to Engelsviken, follow the signs.
Spjærøykilen
Spjærøykilen is a nice bay for swimming. The bay has a beautiful bottom, with pure sand. During the afternoon when the low tide comes, the water is nice and warm due to the fact that the water has been in the bay all day, allowing for it to heat up.
