Blå Grotte is an arena for cultural events such as theatre shows, concerts, stand up, and other shows. The arena has in recent years become a popular destination for a growing number of artists from both Norway and abroad. Blå Grotte consists of a "Grotte", which means cavern, the main arena with a capacity of 420, while the arena "Speilet", situated upstairs, has a capacity of 135.

The House of Literature Fredrikstad
Litteraturhuset Fredrikstad (the House of Literature) is dedicated to literature and culture. Along with many exciting events, the house also includes the restaurant Fabel with a book cafe, food bar and restaurant.
Litteraturhuset Fredrikstad is run by an independent and non-commercial foundation aiming to generate interest for literature and reading.
St.Croix huset
A culturehouse that brings people together. St. Croix has for almost 30 years offered a wide and varied selection of everything culture has to offer. The house used to be a school, but today functions as a public gathering hot spot with events for childen, teens and adults. Everyone is welcome, and can spend time together through activities such as workshops, theatre performances or concerts of all kind.
In the heart of the house you'll find the popular vegetariancafé where you can buy a cup coffee while enjoying slice of cake, or some delicious vegetarian food. Every wedsneday they serve a vegetarian lunch buffet from 11.00, and at thursdays at 16.30 they serve a dinner buffet inspired by a different country of the world each time. The café is open for everyone, and they have a playroom for the youngest.
