A Journey Back to the 18th Century
Step back in time and experience the 18th century in the beautiful Fortress Town of Fredrikstad. Your host, the charming Miss Sophie von Sipp, brings history to life with humour, wit, and fascinating stories about everyday life in the 1700s.
Discover why dresses became so wide that houses needed double doors, learn about elaborate hairstyles with hairpieces and padding, hear tales of 18th-century drinking habits, and enjoy many other entertaining insights into life in a bygone era. A lively and memorable historical experience.

Join in on a live storytelling in the streets of the Old Town with Karen the Alebrewer. She will tell you about old days in the Old Town, when there was an inn on every corner in the Old Town, and the thirst quencher was beer. The walk lasts about 45 minutes and takes you on an entertaining and humorous journey in fantastic surroundings in the Old Town.
Also available throughout the evening with dinner in a rustic setting, quizzes, competitions and lots of fun, as well as music with an entertaining shanty man.
Karen Øltapper is played by Talina Hansen, actress and theater producer with 30 years of success in stage entertainment: comedies, revues, cabaret, games and children's entertainment.
