Gamlebyens Båtforening Guest Marina

Gamlebyens Båtforening offers guest berths for boats right next to the Old Town (Gamlebyen) in Fredrikstad. The guest marina is located along a spacious quay, just a short walk from the historic fortified town, with restaurants, cafés, shops and cultural attractions nearby.

When approaching the marina, be aware of the strong currents in the river and keep your speed low as you enter the berths.

All boats must be secured with two stern mooring lines attached to weights and two bow lines fitted with mooring compensators (snubbers). Use fenders on both sides to prevent damage to neighbouring boats. Please show consideration for other guests and nearby residents by keeping noise to a minimum. Littering is not permitted.

At the end of your stay, please leave the berth in the same condition as when you arrived. Existing mooring equipment must be used as provided and must not be altered or removed.

Fredrikstad Guest Berths

Fredrikstad Guest Berths is located in the city centre, along the waterfront promenade and close to shops and restaurants.

Harbour fees can only be paid at the payment machines. These are located at Dampskipsbrygga, next to Lille Italia, and by Pizzeria Fabbrica at Gressvikbrygga. Electricity and water are available.

As the guest harbour is located along the promenade, there may be some noise from nearby restaurants in the evening. Advance booking is not available.

There are three bridges in Fredrikstad.

Kråkerøy Bridge – when approaching via the eastern branch of the Glomma River

Air draft: 9.5 metres
The bridge opens on request only at 06:00, 09:00, 13:00, 18:00, 21:00 and 24:00.

Pedestrian Bridge

Air draft: 5.6 metres
Please note: The pedestrian bridge is currently closed for bridge openings until further notice.

Værste Bridge – when approaching via the western branch of the Glomma River

Air draft: 5.5 metres
The bridge opens on request only at 06:00, 09:00, 13:00, 18:00, 21:00 and 24:00.

Hvaler Guestharbour

Skjærhalden Gjestehavn is strategically located next to the Oslofjord.

The guest harbour is located right on the square at Skjærhalden and can accommodate 100 – 120 boats.

The guest harbour is open throughout the year.
