Hvaler Gjestgiveri

Hvaler Gjestgiveri is a place to eat for people who want food with meaning and history. They compose carefully composed menus based on the availability of raw materials and the season.

The Hotel serves dinner all year round, but primarily for groups in the winter, the menus mostly consist of norwegian, locally sourced ingredients in season. Hvaler Gjestgiveri has a very rich wine cellar and offers "wine tours" with the Guest.

Hvaler Gjestgiveri also provides the perfect setting for parties, weddings and other events – large or small.

The guest house has 14 double rooms, meeting rooms for 8, 16 or 30 people and space for 80 in the restaurant.

Groups and conference guests are served good lunches, and the farm breakfast is simple and good with fresh eggs from our own hens and freshly baked bread. Hvaler Gjestgiveri is a great place for celebrations and weddings.

The dinner can be combined with one of the many events the guest house offers. In the summer, there are many concerts and for the rest of the year, courses on wine and food and various horse shows are offered.

Engelsviken Brygge Fiskerestaurant (Fish restaurant)

Engelsviken Brygge Fish Restaurant opened its doors for the first time in 1995. The specialty has always been fish dishes. Besides being a local dining venue, the restaurant has developed into a popular destination. For over 20 years, Engelsviken Brygge has been a regular stopping point for many a summer guest, boating family on a trip or keen Taube enthusiast.

Summer is the big holiday, but they are mostly open all year round (except Jan-Feb). Engelsviken Brygge is very cozy on a rainy evening in October. The same good food is in place, but a slightly slower pace and fewer guests mean that it can be just as cozy when the autumn storm hits.

There is also a pub on the 2nd floor, where there are musical elements throughout the year. You can come here to relax after work and to have a chat with other like-minded people.

The restaurant is known for personal service, a pleasant atmosphere and very good cuisine.
