Guttormsvauen

Guttormsvauen is a narrow bay east of Kuvauen. There is a large car park by the main road. Guttormsvauen consists of a sandy beach and grass hills surrounded by mountains.

The bay is a lot large than Kuvauen and the small ponds in the sand make it very popular among children. Furthest in the bay you will find a gress plain where there’s space for tents. There is drinking water and restrooms here. Great walking opportunities in the mountain on both the east and west side of the beach.

Gjøkvika

Gjøkvika is a nice sandy beach situated on the northern end of the island.

Kuvauen

Kuvauen with its peaceful storage rooms by the sea are the only ones of its kind preserving the old fishing harbours once found here.

You will find the large car park signposted by the main road. Kuvauen is a combination of a sandy beach and grass hills, which make it a small idyllic place to spend sunny days. You can also take a swim from the coastal rock slopes in the bay. Behind the inner side of the beach there is a plain where you can set up a tent. There are also many good walking opportunities in the mountain on the west side of the beach.

Spjærøykilen

Spjærøykilen is a nice bay for swimming. The bay has a beautiful bottom, with pure sand. During the afternoon when the low tide comes, the water is nice and warm due to the fact that the water has been in the bay all day, allowing for it to heat up.
