Taket – Quality Hotel Fredrikstad

"Taket" –  panoramic views of Fredrikstad city on top of Quality Hotel Fredrikstad. The popular "sky bar" has an intimate atmosphere and a beautiful roof terrace that can be used all year round.

Taket is well suited for arranging summer parties, weddings and other events. The modern premises give an urban metropolitan feel with panoramic views of Fredrikstad city center. The roof terrace has glass walls so that the outdoor area can be used all year round. In summer, the roof terrace is filled with green plants, palm trees and flowers. Ceilings and walls can be opened, and there are heat lamps in the ceiling.

INFORMATION AND CAPACITY
Taket is a flexible room and the capacity will vary in relation to the desired layout. There is a separate bar in the room, modern AV equipment and the room is also connected to five beautiful group rooms with large windows and great views. The hotel offers a varied menu, and in addition they can offer a barbecue buffet on the roof terrace with their own chef.

Capacity – indoors:
Class layout: 100 people – with space for stage elements. Long table: 140 people – with space for stage elements. Round tables: 100 people – with space for stage elements.

Capacity – roof terrace:
Two long tables: 50 people – with space for a small stage. Royal table: 30 people – with space for a small stage.

Taket is located on the 8th floor of the Quality Hotel in Fredrikstad. A beautiful and modern hotel in the center of Fredrikstad. The hotel is located in the main pedestrian street, and just a stone throw from the pier in Fredrikstad, with its good selection of restaurants, shops, cafés and galleries.

Blå Grotte

Blå Grotte is an arena for cultural events such as theatre shows, concerts, stand up, and other shows. The arena has in recent years become a popular destination for a growing number of artists from both Norway and abroad. Blå Grotte consists of “Grotte”, the main arena with a capacity of 420, while the arena “Speilet”, situated upstairs, has a capacity of 135.

Roald Amundsens birthplace

In the premises at Roald Amundsen Fødested, you can celebrate an important occasion in historical surroundings.

Originally, the farmyard here was much larger, when Roald Amundsen's ancestors in 1858 bought the large farm "Østre Vesten". This was later divided into 4 equal parts where Roald's father, Jens Engelbregt Amundsen, built "Tomta" – the skipper's house which was completed the same year. This is where Roald Amundsen was born. Jens also later built a house for his two unmarried sisters, and his eldest brother also expanded and ran a farm nearby. In recent times, Roald Amundsen often referred back to his roots here on "Tomta" and he spent a lot of time here both as a child and youth. Even as a good adult, he had strong family ties to his hometown and large family.

Today you can rent the newly renovated barn next to "Tomta" for larger or smaller parties such as weddings, baptisms, anniversaries, conferences etc. If you want a tailor-made price offer for other events such as concerts or lectures, contact the landlord.

Gamlebyen Hotel
